Changes to Route 304 limited trips

Ventura wishes to advise effective as of Tuesday 7th October 2008 Route 304 no longer has weekday limited pick up/set down trips between the City, Lonsdale/Spencer Streets and The Pines Shopping Centre.

These trips will now run a normal service and route.

The afternoon trips which previously commenced from Lonsdale and Spencer Street at 4.31pm and 6.05pm will now depart from Queen Street, near Little Collins Streets at 4.35pm and 6.05pm.

There is no change to the departure time of the morning trip departing The Pines Shopping Centre at 8.12am.

Bus Bay Changes at Chadstone Shopping Centre Routes 700 and 767

Ventura wishes to advise that commencing Thursday 2nd October 2008 permanent changes to bus stop bays at Chadstone Shopping Centre for Routes 700 and 767:

Route 700 Smartbus
Bays 2, 3 and 4 to either Box Hill or Mordialloc

Route 767
Bay 1 to Box Hill
Bay 5 to Southland

Introduction of Improved Timetables for Inner City Services commencing 18th August 2008

Ventura is pleased to announce introduction of improved Timetables for Inner City Services.

Timetables have been designed using real time information (GPS) to ensure delivery of dependable bus services for customers.

These changes form part of Ventura's ongoing Service Improvement Program.

Timetables will be available from Drivers, Depots, Met Shop and on our Website.

202 Box Hill to East Kew
203 City to Shoppingtown
205 Melbourne Uni to Shoppingtown
207 City to Donvale

Temporary Bus Terminus at Doncaster Westfield Shoppingtown

Ventura wishes to advise that due to ongoing construction at Doncaster Westfield Shoppingtown it has become necessary to introduce a temporary Bus Terminus adjacent to Williamsons Road near the front car park (main entrance)of the Shopping Centre.Ventura looks forward to completion of the Doncaster Westfield Development and subsequent introduction of modern Bus Terminus facilities in the future.

Temporary Bus Stop Closure, Route 246 Service to the City

Ventura wishes to advise that due to ongoing construction at the Alfred Hospital, commencing from Monday 12th May 2008 and until further notice, the bus stop for the Route 246 Service, heading to the City, out the front of the Hospital has been moved to north of Commercial Road.

Doncaster Park + Ride becomes pre-paid to make your trip faster

To avoid delays and make your trip faster, Metcards will not be sold on-board buses leaving Doncaster Park + Ride from later this year.

You will require a valid Metcard before boarding the bus.

You can buy Metcards from the ticket vending machine at Doncaster Park + Ride before you board the bus, just like you do when travelling by train.

For an extended range of value-for-money Metcards, visit your local Metcard retail agent or the Metcard online store

Value Metcards such as 10 x 2 hour, 5 x Daily and Weekly Metcards are much cheaper than buying individual tickets for every journey. If you buy online, your Metcards will be delivered free to your door.

By making this change we'll get you where you need to go faster.
