Route 733 (Box Hill to Oakleigh), will be temporarily re-routed.From Monday 30th August 2010Due to a change in the load limit on the Hanover Street Rail Bridge the bus route 733 can no longer use the bridge to access the bus stops located on the north side of the Oakleigh Railway Station. It will now operate from Hanover Road via Bank Street, Haughton Street and Mill Road to a stop at the south side of Oakleigh Railway station in Johnson Street. This operation will commence from 30th August 2010 and will continue until the Hanover Street Bridge is repaired to enable it to be used by heavy vehicles. There will be no new bus stops installed between Hanover Road and Johnson Street.
Route 688 Croydon to Olinda extended to Upper Ferntree GullyFrom Monday 30th August 2010.Ventura is pleased to announce that the route 688 Croydon to Olinda service will be extended to Upper Ferntree Gully railway station. The extension will be via the current route 698 Olinda to Upper Ferntree Gully which currently only operates in the morning and evening weekday peaks. This service upgrade will offer the residents between Olinda and Upper Ferntree Gully a seven day a week service throughout the entire year. There will also be improved services in to the Mt Dandenong Observatory Lookout on all weekends. The new service will also be of interest to families and tourists on weekends as for the first time you will able to travel across the top of the Dandenong Ranges between Croydon railway station and Upper Ferntree Gully railway station stopping at the Kalorama and Mt Dandenong Observatory lookouts and dining at the many restaurants located along the route or visiting the famous William Rickets Sanctuary. Note, the service operates via alternate routes between Kalorama and Olinda and if you wish to visit the Mt Dandenong Observatory Lookout you will need to take the Ridge Road service and for the William Rickets Sanctuary you will need to use the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road service. The service also integrates well with our new route 696 Olinda to Monbulk weekday only offpeak service and also our route 694 Olinda to Belgrave Monday to Saturday service. New route 696 Olinda to Monbulk service.From Monday 30th August 2010.Ventura is pleased to announce a new service, route 696, to operate between Olinda (Kate Kelly's) and the Monbulk Shopping Centre. The service will operate normal weekdays only between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm and will travel via the Olinda-Monbulk Road. The service also integrates well with our route 688 Croydon to Upper Ferntree Gully via Olinda service and also our route 694 Olinda to Belgrave service.
