See below for the latest official advice regarding COVID-19 and public transport.

    Ventura's COVID-19 Response

At Ventura we have been closely monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic and have already implemented several countermeasures to help fight the spread of COVID-19 and ensure our customers and our employees safety.

We have employed additional cleaning staff who are using a concentrated alcohol based cleaning product to sterilize the interior of our buses at the end of each day and are now supplying our drivers with personal hand sanitizer to ensure that any interaction between our drivers and the general public are as safe as possible.

  • Recent Charter Contracts

Ventura offers custom tailored charter services for our customers. No occassion is too big or too small, we cover everything from school excursions to festivals and other large-scale events. See below for information on some of our recent charter contracts.

    Cruise Ship Shuttle Service

In August 2019 Ventura were successful in winning the contract to provide shuttle services for cruise ships over the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons. In October 2019, Ventura serviced its first cruise ship ‘The Celebrity Solstice’.

A combination of careful planning, preparation, and no small amount of teamwork was required; but thanks to the hard work of all those involved the day was a huge success and Ventura received glowing feedback from the Customers, praising the great service and organisation.

    Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival 2019

Mercury Principle Events supply premium corporate hospitality at Melbourne's major sporting events including The Melbourne Cup, AFL Medallion Club, ANZAC Day Footy, MCG and Marvel Stadium Events, Test Cricket and many more.

Ventura Bus Lines has a long history with Mercury Principle Events and was again awarded their preferred transport company for the Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival in 2019.  Ventura supplied over 25 buses for the event which was a huge success.

"They are the best in the business, I know our clients at the end of the day can be tricky and your drivers handle everything with such professionalism and are always so friendly. Your team are truly amazing! A very big thank you to everyone involved in another successful carnival!" - Danielle Caruso, Event Co-ordinator.

  • Recent Events

With twelve depots located around Victoria and over 1,500 employees there is always something going on at Ventura. See below for the latest news and events.

    2019 Kiribati Donation

On July 22nd 2019 on behalf of everyone at Ventura we donated one of our 57-seater Volgren Scania buses to Kiribati School and Centre for Children with Special Needs. The school on Kiribati Island in the central Pacific Ocean had been struggling to get students to school due to a lack of suitable buses on the island. Despite the relatively small size of South Tarawa, for various reasons, these students cannot walk to school each day, nor is public transport accessible to them.

Without access to a dedicated school bus, these students, all of whom have great potential to be active and contributing members of society would simply be kept at home unable to reach their full potential. We were happy to be able to donate one of our vehicles to help make a difference in these children's lives.

“Young people struggle enough without having the challenges of a disability and we as a family company are honoured to donate a bus to get these students to school.”

    - Andrew Cornwall, Managing Director

    Women at the Wheel

Ventura Women at the wheel open days offer a unique chance for women in the local community to get a first-hand look at what it is like to work at Ventura. On the day attendees are taken on a tour of our Head Office at Dandenong Depot and get to meet a few of our friendly female drivers and ask any questions they may have.

So far, we have hosted three successful open days and plan to schedule more in future.

Please Note: Due to the pandemic all open days have been postponed until further notice.
